MWAA and Turner Construction Reach Out to Various Trades for the New North Concourse at Reagan National Airport

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) and Turner Construction Company held an outreach for minority-owned businesses on October 20, 2017 at Reagan National Airport. The purpose of the outreach was to educate various trades on the New North Concourse, Package 3 coming up very soon.

 

The project primarily includes the construction of a new concourse facility consisting of three new levels, 230,000 sq. ft. and 14 aircraft gates. The new building will replace the existing ground-loaded regional jet aircraft hardstand operation.

 

The project has a Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (LDBE) goal of 25% and Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) goal of 15%.

 

MWAA and Turner Construction assembled guest into various groups pertaining to their capabilities and went over specifics to each division.

 

It is important to note that a second and very major opportunity to meet the first-tier prime trades will be held on November 16, 2017 at Reagan National Airport, Terminal A, Historic Lobby.
