Project Description: The purpose of this project is to upgrade the facility for Enhanced Nutrient Removal (ENR) to comply with new effluent pollutant discharge limits imposed by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) under the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). The project will include demolition and renovation of existing facilities as well as the construction of new facilities. The work under this Contract includes all requirements to provide a fully operable wastewater treatment plant in strict conformity with the Contract Documents including miscellaneous incidental items indicated or specified, whether shown or not shown, as required to complete the work. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials and incidentals, and shall perform all construction operations required to completely finish all of the Contract work to the satisfaction of the Service and the Engineer. At the conclusion of the project, the Contractor shall furnish the Service with a complete and functioning wastewater treatment facility.
