UMMS is seeking a vendor to recovery underpayments on professional/provider services.

The selected vendor will be expected to perform the following activities:

1. Leveraging and validating expected allowed amount in Epic to identify underpayments.
2. Trending underpayment issues.
3. Meet with the UMMS Professional Billing Office regularly to discuss trends and determine next steps.
4. Contacting insurance companies to address underpayments.
5. Documenting in Epic to reflect status of account, actions taken.
6. Communicating trends and payer issues to UMMS Payer Relations and Contracting for escalation as appropriate.
