Travis Lamb, General Manager Live! Casino & Hotel

Hanover, MD (May 10, 2019) – Travis Lamb, General Manager of Live! Casino & Hotel, is being recognized as the “Best Corporate Executive for Minority Business Enterprise” by the Maryland Washington Minority Companies Association (MWMCA). Mr. Lamb, honored today at a breakfast event hosted by MWMCA, received the recognition for his ongoing commitment and dedication to empowering minority and women-owned businesses in the area.

When Live! Casino & Hotel broke ground on the flagship Live! Hotel in 2016, Mr. Lamb ensured that the new property worked with minority businesses to supply products and services, and that the general contractor also included minority sub-contractors in the project.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized by the MWMCA for supporting the local minority business community through our many efforts at Live! Casino & Hotel,” said Travis Lamb, General Manager of Live! Casino & Hotel. “This year we are approaching the first anniversary of our luxury Live! Hotel and Event Center along with the seven-year anniversary of our casino property. Our success is shared with the minority and women-owned businesses we have partnered with to make Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland’s premier gaming and entertainment destination.”

Live! Casino & Hotel was previously recognized by the MWMCA as the “Most Inclusive Gaming Facility” for being the first Maryland casino to champion the cause of inclusiveness through its semi-annual minority vendor outreach fairs which provide education and resources to minority and women-owned firms that wish to do business with the state gaming industry.  For the past six years, Live! and the MWMCA have also recognized dozens of African-American business leaders who have positively impacted their communities through the annual Black History Heroes Awards.

“Travis Lamb is a leader who is not only committed to diversity and inclusiveness, but also strives toward empowering minority and women-owned businesses with the opportunities, education and resources to succeed,” said Wayne R. Frazier, Sr., President, MWMCA. “It is a privilege to recognize all the tremendous work that he and Live! Casino & Hotel have done throughout the years in support of economic diversity inclusion.”
