Frank Kelly understands that Americas small diverse suppliers need to get engaged with major corporations in order for equity to exist.
Frank Kelly, Manager of Diverse Business Empowerment, Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE)

It is rare in today’s hustle and bustle to describe supplier diversity and economic social engineering in one word such as passion, but BGE’s Frank Kelly, Manager of Diverse Business Empowerment, is the most passionate leader of corporate supplier diversity the universe may have ever seen. Passion explains why at year end 2020 BGE recorded spending $471 million or 42% of the company’s total spend with certified diverse suppliers. That trend has been increasing every year since 2012.

In today’s weekly e-newsletter we are profiling Frank Kelly for his steady passionate work and probed him on how the corporation arrived there. “Frank Kelly is suited perfectly for this assignment as BGE’s ambassador to the supplier diversity world. He brings his career experience as an acquisition negotiator to bear when preparing suppliers to do business with BGE. Always a gentleman, Frank Kelly understands that Americas small diverse suppliers need to get engaged with major corporations in order for equity to exist. Here at MWMCA we praise and honor Frank Kelly.” said Wayne R. Frazier, Sr., President of Md. Washington Minority Companies Association (MWMCA).
