In 1910, the Maryland General Assembly established the Public Service Commission (PSC). The PSC regulates gas, electric, telecommunications, water and sewage disposal and certain passenger transportation companies doing business in Maryland.  The PSC consists of five commissioners who literally touch all Marylanders lives in some form or another with it’s regulations on the corporations that provide essential and quality of life resources. Maryland Public Service Commission Chairman Jason M. Stanek agreed to an interview on matters that affect diverse suppliers. “Chairman Stanek is a licensed attorney with years of experience working in both government and private sectors within the energy industry. He is an advocate for fair and equal treatment and perhaps the conscience of the consumer rate payer and Maryland Public Service Commission board, which is a blessing to Marylanders”, said Wayne R. Frazier Sr., President of Md. Washington Minority Companies Association (MWMCA).
