Maryland Live! Casino Salutes Local Black History Heroes
On Tuesday, February 24, 2015 Maryland Live! Casino held its 2nd Annual Black History Celebration by honoring local Black History Heroes in a big way. The evening was commemorated with local leaders being recognized for their outstanding achievements. Each leader shared their stories of who their Black History heroes are and why along with great food and a Tribute to Motown. It was a fun and educational way to celebrate Black History.
Robert J. Norton, President & General Manager of Maryland Live! Casino has been consistently supportive of such worthwhile events at the casino year after year which really help to recognize our leaders in the African American community. In 2014, MWMCA had the pleasure of recognizing Mr. Norton and Maryland Live! Casino as the Most Creative and Inclusive Gaming Facility, and certainly events like the recently held Black History Celebration is further confirmation why they are the best gaming facility in Maryland.
On Friday, May 8, 2015 MWMCA will recognize another outstanding leader at Maryland Live! Casino, Charles Felton, Director of Purchasing who has not only provided minority owned firms with access to opportunities within the casino industry but with many other industries doing business with Maryland Live! Casino as well.
