Korey R. Gray Ensures Diverse Businesses Have Equitable Opportunities with DC Water

It’s been known for decades now, that the DMV region has some of the best potable water and sanitary refuse displacement services in the nation. Our government and civic leaders throughout the past 100 years have mandated regulations for water to be safe to consume and raw sewage be treated and handled in the most sanitary means. Living up to its “DC Water is Life” motto, DC Water has embarked on a $10+ billion capital improvement plan to ensure that the next century of water and waste water services is better than the past.

In this issue, we profiled Korey R. Gray, Director of Enterprise Programs for DC Water, because with so much spend occurring we want to ensure that minority and women-owned certified businesses gain access to their fair share of available work opportunities.

“DC Water is a very socio-economically inclusive corporation. They strive to include Local Business Enterprises and Local Small Business Enterprises (LBE/LSBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE’s). We interviewed Korey because he is one of the best leaders in the industry that ensures diverse businesses have equitable opportunities; we need more leaders like Korey,” said Wayne R. Frazier, Sr., president of Md. Washington Minority Companies Association (MWMCA). “Please continue building and improving our water quality.”
